Quick answer
The Voice Caddie Laser Fit is a small, light, good-looking rangefinder that does the basics well. It lists at $199.99, weighs 4 oz, includes slope with a tournament mode and adds a Ball to Pin feature. Store buyers rate it 4.8 out of 5 from 84 reviews. Use BASSOLINO15 for 15% off eligible purchases, about $30 off, or roughly $169.99.
Our verdict: this is an easy recommendation for walkers who want a rangefinder that disappears in a pocket. For green maps and putt break, step up to the SL Mini.
What it does
The Laser Fit has 6x optical magnification and a dual display for reading distance in different light. Pin Tracer widens the lock-on area so you can scan for a flag for up to three seconds, and spot measure mode gives a reading in about 0.1 seconds, according to Voice Caddie. The V-Algorithm slope calculation adjusts for uphill and downhill shots, and a tournament mode turns it off for competition.
Ball to Pin is the standout. From where you stand, click the ball, then the pin, and the unit gives you the distance between them. That is useful when you are guiding a partner or lining up a shot you cannot walk to.
