Research rules

• Primary sources first: published independent lab tests (MyGolfSpy, Golf Digest), not press releases.
• Multiple corroborating sources for any claim.
• Real owner and pro feedback is weighted but never overrides hard data.
• Big-brand reviews start as Expert Consensus and are updated with direct testing when units are received.

Scoring & voice

• Fixed 8-metric rubric for every review (see How We Test).
• Always include at least 3 honest cons.
• Clear best-for and skip-if before any affiliate link.
• Voice: measured, performance-focused, accessible. No hype, no jargon without explanation.

Updates & corrections

Reviews are living documents. When new data (our lab testing or major manufacturer updates) changes the picture, we update the page, note the date, and keep the old version in git history. Price changes or broken links are fixed promptly.
