GOGOGO GS03 MTL vs Callaway 300 Pro: A Slope Laser Choice
Compare the GS03 MTL and Callaway 300 Pro by slope switch, magnet, power, product evidence and current store cues before picking a laser.

Current manufacturer specifications and store cues were checked October 16, 2026. Independent GS03 reviews describe the model they tested and do not establish performance for every current variant.
Choose the GOGOGO GS03 MTL only after confirming that exact variant is orderable; choose a Callaway 300 Pro listing only after confirming which model you are buying. Both families advertise a 6× laser with slope-related features, but their current product pages, variant names, independent test coverage and stock signals do not line up as a clean laboratory comparison.
What the current listings say
GOGOGO GS03 MTL. The current GS03 product page lists 6× magnification, up to 1,000 yards, a replaceable CR2 battery, and a 250-yard pole-lock / 300-yard flag-lock claim. It describes the MTL as having an on/off slope switch and a built-in magnet; it says the standard GS03 omits both. On the page checked October 16, 2026, the item was listed at $109.99 USD, with “Sale” and “Sold out” cues alongside an Add to cart control. Confirm the selected MTL and availability before relying on the listed price.
Callaway 300 Pro Smoke. Callaway’s current U.S. store lists this model at $299.99 USD and showed it in stock when checked October 16, 2026. Its manufacturer listing describes slope with an external on/off switch, Pin Acquisition with pulse vibration and a magnetic cart mount. This current Smoke listing is not the same record as the older Amazon-linked product in our Callaway 300 Pro review; do not transfer its current price or model identity to that review.
These are manufacturer-listed features and checked storefront signals. The GS03’s headline range is not the same as reliable pin acquisition at every distance; target size, light and background affect laser use.
What independent testing adds
Plugged In Golf tested a GS03 and reported unadjusted readings within one yard of two other rangefinders in its test, while noting slope-adjusted differences as large as five yards at longer distances. Golf Monthly’s test described the flag-lock vibration and reported the reviewed unit’s flag lock working to about 250 yards. Those reviews provide useful context for the version tested, but the current GOGOGO page now separates standard and MTL variants. Neither review proves the exact current MTL item will match those results.
The GolfTested 300 Pro page is an expert-consensus review, not a side-by-side measurement against today’s GS03 MTL or the current Callaway Smoke store listing. Treat the product specs, independent reviews and live inventory as separate evidence.
Pick by the purchase you can verify
- Consider the GS03 MTL if its lower listed price, replaceable battery and magnet/slope combination fit your use—and the exact MTL is available with return terms you accept. The standard GS03 lacks the last two features according to the current model page.
- Consider the Callaway 300 Pro Smoke if you want the exact product currently listed in stock by Callaway and prefer its documented pulse and external switch features. Its current store listing is substantially more expensive; confirm the final model and total.
- Keep looking if you need current independent tests of the exact variant, GPS maps, stabilization or more detailed ball-flight data.
The supplied GOGOGO Sport code is SEBASTIANBASSOL for 5% off eligible purchases. The code is not confirmed for this model and must not be assumed to stack with a sale. Check the exact variant, stock, code and order total before paying.

Rules and cart checks
Before tournament play, check the event’s current conditions and the rangefinder’s actual slope-off state; a manufacturer’s “tournament” description is not a substitute for those checks. If you use the magnet, confirm the cart frame and carry the case for transport. For a broader feature map, see our golf rangefinder buying guide and the GOGOGO GS03 variant brief.

Frequently asked questions
Which GOGOGO GS03 variant has slope and a magnet?
The current GOGOGO page describes those features on GS03 MTL. It says the standard GS03 does not have the slope switch or built-in magnet. Confirm the exact selector option before ordering.
Is the Callaway 300 Pro the same as the 300 Pro Smoke?
Callaway's current store lists a 300 Pro Smoke model. GolfTested's existing review routes to an older Amazon-listed 300 Pro item, so its product and price details should not be assumed to describe the Smoke listing.
Which rangefinder has better independent testing?
Established reviewers tested earlier GS03 listings, with model and test limits noted in this guide. GolfTested's 300 Pro page is an expert-consensus review, not a GolfTested lab comparison between these exact current variants.
Does the GOGOGO code work on the GS03 MTL?
The owner supplied SEBASTIANBASSOL for 5% off eligible GOGOGO purchases. Model eligibility, checkout acceptance and sale stacking have not been confirmed.
Can I use the slope-adjusted distance in a tournament?
Do not assume the switch alone makes a device legal for every event. Check the applicable rules and competition conditions, and ensure slope compensation is disabled when required.
